From August 31 to September 2, 2019, the Reliability Technologies team took part in the International Innovative IT Hackathon on Using Space and IT Technologies to Improve Environment and Human Life. The hackathon was held on Russian Black Sea Coast, in Divnomorsk, Krasondar Region. Reliability Technologies' employees—students of the Belgorod State University and their project supervisor—made a stand as the representatives as the even partner company.

BPM and Mobile Development engineers from Belgorod and a design concept specialist from the Voronezh State University united in the Reliability Technologies team. Together with other participants from Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov-on-Don, and Krasnodar, the team presented the hardware and software solutions aimed at improving the environmental state of water areas of the World Ocean with the potential use of space technologies. The water area of the Black Sea became the study subject.

The Reliability Technologies team created a model of the hardware and software complex designed for monitoring the water surface with the help of drones (quadcopters) and image recognition (recognition of space shots) to identify the pollution stains. This complex includes the software with a mobile app designed to process citizen pollution-related communications submitted to specialized state authorities.

The hackathon was held as part of Russia's open Education to Profession contest. The hackathon was organized by ROSKOSMOS and the Institute of Medicobiological Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences, in partnership with the Higher School of Economics, SAP CIS, Federation of Astronautics of Russia and University of Munster.

On September 3, employees of Reliability Technologies were invited as guests to the opening of the International Intelligent Systems and Information Technology Conference.
